How the networks behave in Singapore

Singapore has four main mobile networks — Singtel, StarHub, M1 and Simba — and because the country is so small, all four cover it densely. There are almost no dead zones, and 5G is widespread, including on the MRT lines and their underground sections. Signal holds from the airport into the city and out to the offshore islands such as Sentosa, so coverage is rarely the thing you have to plan around. What matters more is how you will use it: with a compact country and typically short stays, most traffic goes on navigation, ride-hailing, messaging, social media and looking up attractions, which keeps overall consumption low. Size the plan and its validity window for that, and treat coverage as the settled part of the decision.

Install while still on home wifi

Scan the code in your phone's settings and add the plan as a second line. Doing this at home removes the airport wifi problem entirely.
